Yu An Xie (she/her)
Hi, I am Yu An! I am an illustrator from Taipei, Taiwan.
I love making artworks that warm people’s hearts and creating funny characters that make the audience laugh. My inspiration usually comes from love, culture, travel experiences and my curiosity towards the world. My fashion design background may be the reason why I tend to focus on shapes, patterns, and details when making images.
Coloured pencil, watercolour, acrylic, and collage are the techniques that I mostly use, but I am always excited to explore new media. I hope my books inspire people to see the world with fun, curious, and positive eyes.
Apart from illustration, I also enjoy sewing and mural painting.
