Hi, I’m Yang Mao. This MA study has been a rewarding but not always easy journey, giving me plenty of time to learn about illustration and to feel what it is like to draw. The illustrations are beautiful, the stories are lovely and my love of 'beauty' made me decide to come here to study. Before coming here I never imagined that my life would be closely linked to drawing.

I am obsessed with color and like to use as many colors as possible in my projects or colors that convey emotion. My inspiration usually comes from a fond memory or an exploration of a character's personality. I like to give my characters personalities similar to my own, imagining that they could live an ordinary and carefree life in another dimension.
