Xinyue Zhang she/her
Xinyue Zhang is an illustrator from China with a bachelor's degree from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. She used to create illustrations for online media and animated advertisements. While she initially excelled in digital painting, her studies at Cambridge School of Art reignited her passion for traditional drawing techniques. She enjoys capturing amusing moments from her travels through quick sketches, which often inspire her creative projects.
Xinyue's work is characterised by vibrant, bold colours and whimsical, exaggerated characters, aiming to create joyful and uplifting imagery. With a background in industrial design, she pays special attention to shapes and forms, integrating them seamlessly into her compositions. Through her art, she aspires to encourage people to see the world with curiosity, humor, and a positive perspective.

A 34-page wordless picture book about funny stories at a bus stop. For ages 3-10, it’s a humorous and observation-boosting read. For this project I used Tetra Pak printmaking and digital colouring.
