Xiao Shao (she/her)
Xiao is an illustrator from China, passionate, curious, and always drawn to interesting things in life. With a sensitive and soft heart, she finds joy in observing the world around her. As a mother, she cherishes growing, playing, and exploring the world together with her child, which constantly inspires her creative work.
During her master’s studies at ARU, after changing her career path, Xiao witnessed her own growth and pursued her passion for illustration. She explored various aspects of picture books, including storytelling, material experimentation, artistic techniques, and emotional expression. She has created poetic picture books, children’s books, and pop-up books, each reflecting her evolving journey.
Xiao believes there is always room to grow and is excited to continue crafting works that resonate with both children and adults, bringing imagination and joy to their lives.
