Hi, I am Stephanie, a fine artist/illustrator from the Netherlands. After running a children’s bookshop for over 17 years, where I got to see many lovely books and meet their inspiring makers, it was time to pursue an old dream of making my own children’s books, and study in the UK. I love drawing in sketchbooks, experiment with all kinds of materials, find unexpected textures and layer them up, both analogue and digital. I am inspired by the world around me, for my MA projects mostly by nature, animals, houses, playgrounds, children, and the park close to my house.
