PIPPA Ashton (she/her)
Pippa is an illustrator based in London. She has loved reading, making stories and drawing ever since she was little. When she was choosing my GCSEs she told her teacher she wanted to illustrate children’s books for a living and he teacher said she wasn’t sure that was an actual job. Luckily she found out it is and joined the MA to improve her storytelling skills.
Pippa has far too many hobbies and loves learning about new things but she always comes back to comics, mythology and fairy tales. She loves ghosts, witches, beasties and fairies and likes putting a new take on old tales.
Pippa works in a combination of print making, drawing and digital work layered together or in multimedia. She likes lots of texture and bold shapes in her illustrations and loves her stories to be simple and quiet but also very silly.
