Panda Zhu
I am an illustrator, animator, as well as a children's picture book author.
In my hometown, picture books weren't a common sight, so my childhood was painted with evening cartoons, tattered storybooks, and the freedom to run in muddy fields. Upon entering the art world, creating an entirely new universe through animation and picture books became my passion. I'm captivated by experimenting with various materials, and combined with my life experiences, they act like building blocks, allowing me to construct a brand-new world.
My name 'Panda' comes from my friend who noticed the panda pattern on my clothes. I also love the adorable animal with multifaceted personality—warm, sensitive, harmonious and occasionally displaying a gentle strength. This embodies the essence of the works that I cherish.
