Merve Dilek Efe (she/her)
Merve is a Turkish illustrator based in Cambridge, UK. She holds a master’s degree in Education and has also pursued studies in Graphic Design, focusing mainly on illustration. Recently, she completed her second MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.
Merve places great importance on emotions, striving to create deep and meaningful characters that connect with readers and transcend their own stories. Her work often features people, nature, animals, and the nearly forgotten connections between them.
In her creative practice, Merve enjoys working with various mediums, particularly acrylic ink. She also incorporates monoprint techniques, creates her own textures, and integrates these into her illustrations.
