Hi! I'm Meng Wang, also known as Carina. I am an illustrator and pop-up creator from Northern China. Before studying at the Cambridge School of Art, I majored in IT and taught myself UI design in my spare time. Luckily, I came across illustration during my two-year career as a visual designer and started my journey making picture books for children in Cambridge.

I love all creative work. I am very keen on creating interactive illustrations and picture books, which keep me inspired and motivated at all times. I like to tell warm and powerful stories with simple words and always try to add surprise and interactivity to my drawings.

Currently, I enjoy working with a combination of digital and traditional techniques. Also, sketchbooks are my safe zone, where I like to experiment with materials, colours and techniques. I enjoy the process of constantly polishing and revising the stories and drawings, and I would like to always make picture books for children.
