MARIE-CHARLOTTE BRÉDON NIGHTINGALE (she/her)
Hello, I’m Marie-Charlotte,
But people call me ‘Macha’ or ‘Charlotte’ for short.
I am a French-English Illustrator and Storyteller currently living near the Pyrenees in the South of France with my 4 children and our animals. We are also lucky to always keep a foot in UK due to my family living in East London.
My fascination for our world, wildlife and my children’s curiosity is a huge influence in my work, they continuously bring me new ideas for fun stories, and have recently brought me to leap enthusiastically into nonfictional subjects that I love to research and translate with a pinch of magic.
I enjoy working with mixed media, lively lines, textures, and warm coloured combinations. Exploring characters and creating the world they engage.
Cambridge school of art has lifted my work, bringing me an in-depth comprehension of this discipline that I am passionately excited to continue practicing.
