Kerry is an illustrator living in and working from her home studio in sunny West Yorkshire. She has a love of observational drawing which she uses directly and indirectly to inform her illustration work.

For Kerry, the MA at Cambridge has provided a wonderful opportunity for experimentation with mixed media, such as paint, pastel, print and crayon and for developing digital skills, such as Photoshop, Procreate and InDesign.

Of equal importance has been the opportunity to learn the skill and craft needed to create successful illustrated children's books. The knowledge and experience of tutors and amazingly skilled course mates has been invaluable.

Kerry tailors her approach to illustration to suit the narrative of the story being told. She likes to create colourful simple stories with warmth and character that will appeal to both children and their adults.
