Hi, my name is Jane or in my professional name is Janejira Phoopattanakul, I’m an illustrator from Thailand. Drawing has been my best friend since I was young, and the Jaunty character was drawn 10 years ago as a friend of my childhood trauma. My background studied Industrial Design, I am passionate about design for children. Therefore, giving children benefit is my aspiration.   
 
The passion in drawing and children leads me to studying MA Children’s Book Illustration. Throughout the course, I got out of my comfort zone playing with many materials, processes and I have learnt how to be happy with what I love, as a result, the Jaunty Jane story. 
 
My stories were influenced from my experiences and everything around me, for example, friends, family or even a goose as in Such a goose day story. 

The most challenging thing that I love in my picture books is to convey the sensitive and hard topic to easily understand and fun for kids as in I just forgot my toy story.
