Hey, I'm Em, I'm a queer writer and illustrator living in Margate. I love creating characters and am inspired by fantastical creatures, impossible things, friendships, and geometry.
Studying on the MA really helped me hone my sense of colour and limited palettes have now become central to my work. Currently my practice is mostly in gouache and watercolour and entirely analogue, as it’s easier for me to remain playful when working by hand.
Outside the MA I have a background in statistics and work in Data Visualisation. I would love to work on STEM books for kids.
