Elliot Zhibo Zhang (he/hIM)

Elliot Zhibo Zhang (1999) was born in China. He trained as an illustrator at Camberwell College of Arts and Cambridge school of Art from 2019-2025. He now lives and works in Cambridge.

Much of his imagery is concerned with the relationship between human nature and human emotions.

In the early days, he was good at observing nature and drawing inspiration from natural details, such as birds, insects, flowers and trees. All elements from nature can be his source of inspiration. In the later practice, he slowly brought his emotions into nature, using these natural elements as a carrier to express his true feelings and stories. He compares himself to migratory birds and butterflies, because he found in them the courage and strength that nature gives us. They dare to challenge themselves, face difficulties with optimism, and choose life positively, so as to gain more hope and strength. He hopes that his works can convey the power of nature to everyone around him.
