Hi, I am CAICAI, a person who feels like I come from the depths of the ocean, a person who loves to interact and play with children. To me, understanding the world of children is much easier than understanding what is happening around me, so I choose to learn about children's picture books. I wish to draw for children or the child in every adult's heart.
Regarding illustration, I was deeply influenced by an Italian painter, Angelico. He had turned down an invitation to serve in the papacy and firmly chose to paint only for his faith. I also want to convey this emotion in my paintings: sincerity and love are the most important things about children's picture books. So, expressing beliefs and emotions is an important part of my work.

LITTLE MOUNTAIN SPIRIT
This is a picture book of a story with a mythological twist. I used metaphors and storytelling to express that what a child needs after a traumatic experience is non-judgment and companionship and infinite love. At the same time it is a story of sacrifice, redemption and forgiveness.
STAY IN THE TREE, DON’T COME DOWN
This book expresses the idea that to be brave and persevere even when an eccentric person is not understood. The drawings are from nature that I saw on my travels, and I hope they convey some healing power to kids who are a little bit weird-minded like me.
FOUND YOU
This book is about a kid's dream and her faith. She believes there is a whale who will always be there for her, but no one believes her. This is a story about loneliness and companionship. Her friend eventually finds her. I hope each of us is found.
