Anna Roberts (she/her)
Hello, I’m Anna! I’m an illustrator currently based in Nottingham, UK. I work in a range of media and primarily with analogue techniques. I enjoy creating work that has a textural, organic feel and a vibrancy of colour.
My love of art and stories originally led me to a career in theatre scene painting, though in recent years I found myself drawn back to the medium of the book. After years of painting very large things, I decided it was time to embark on this MA and adjust to drawing at a normal size again!
I’m most inspired by the awe, beauty, majesty and humour to be discovered in the natural world and am fascinated by the idiosyncrasies of animal behaviour. In my spare time I am most likely to be up a hill somewhere, with sketchbook, paint and binoculars in hand.
