Xiaoyun Tian (she/her)

She is an illustrator, ceramic artist and graphic designer based in the UK. Holding a BA in Graphic Design from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, she began building her own artistic world, focusing on picture books and graphic design. In 2025, she completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.

Her work has been recognized with Second Place in The Print Award and longlist for the WIA Awards. In her work, she strives to convey emotional connections between people and everyday things through storytelling, focusing on creating a strong sense of atmosphere.

She aims to evoke feelings through her illustrations. She also enjoys experimenting with mixed media and often works with watercolor and colored pencils in her creations. On her journey, she constantly picks up her brush, capturing every story she sees in a sketchbook.

The little fish and its big hope

 This book tells the story of a little girl who collects trash underwater and rescues a small fish. They become best friends along the way. For children aged 6-12.

Jack is coming home

This is a playful search-and-find story about Jack, the big goose, who travels home for Christmas, bringing gifts for his family. The illustrations primarily use monoprint and watercolor techniques. Designed for Children aged 5-8.

Past and Present

This story takes place in the same location but spans ten thousand years. Ancient people and modern individuals become connected through clay tablets, sharing the same starry sky. The illustrations primarily use collage and monoprint techniques.
